Hm. Sounds like a robin to me. There could be several reasons that it fell, from an invaded nest to pushy siblings. Either way, the impact alone could have killed it. The reason it didn't break could be because the baby inside is so big that the impact was lessened. I'd say ditch it- even if you did manage to hatch it unless you've raised babies that young before they will die. They're hardest at the first three days; need to be fed every 15 minutes, need to be kept warm, etc. etc.
