"JJ" - did you ever get an answer to this question? I have the same dilemna, and I'm almost questioning if there might be 2 birds using the nest, because the egg count keeps growing (I'm up to 7 now) but there are 2 types of eggs in the nest. I thought it was neat at first to be able to look into the next from my glass front door, but now I'm worried about upsetting them by using the door.
