Two days ago I heard an awful screaming and ran outside to see a cat trying to eat this parakeet. I got the cat away and I brought the parakeet inside. It has no tail feathers and had a couple of teethmarks on it's head. I borrowed a cage from a friend, who said the bird looked young, I bought some food for it and I sprinkle it on the bottom of the cage with a little bowl of water and it was eating a little this morning. Will the birds tail feathers grow back? Is this something the little guy will recover from? He's very traumatized from this, he trys to run from me when I check his food and such. Any advice is appreciated.
