Hi Julia. How is your budgie's foot now? My little guy, Sunshine, just had that happen today or sometime last night. I'm taking him to the vets tomorrow evening. I'm actually relieved to read that yours has had it for a few days and is otherwise alright. I will let you know what the vet says about Sunshine. Perhaps it applies to yours too. I held mine today. He grabbed ahold of my finger with his right foot, but I put my finger into his left foot and he still didn't squeeze. It really seems a lot like you described.
Frantic mommy here!!!! I hate having to be at work while he is at home alone (well with another budgie and a cockatiel). I keep imagining all sorts of horrible things!!!
