I don't know that much about that kind of injury,but if you really want to put her in a seperate little cage so it could help her heel, I have advice.
Instead of trying to capture her in your hand, you could try to just let her stand on your hand and slowly try to bring your hand into the cage.You can also try to distract her from seeing that your putting her into the new cage by hand feeding her or talking to her in a soft voice while carrying her inside.
