I too have aquired some baby mockingbirds... much to my dismay! One of my students pulled them out of thier nest and destroyed the nest! Needless to say he is in BIG trouble...
Dawnie... when you say "feed the bird on the left side of it's throat" are you meaning it's left or my left when I'm looking down his throat?
Also how do you tell if it's stomach is ruptured? They have pretty big bellys already and I'm not sure what to do. One of the other science teachers said to feed them chopped up earthworms which is what I did, but I did every 2 hours yesterday! Today they are just not as active and I feel like 2 of them are "on their way out"... Is there a chance I can save the one remaining? It has only eaten once today!
