The thing that makes instant pudding thicken
is precooked cornstarch. If you can get
"Instant Clear-Jel", you're on the right
track, because that is also precooked
cornstarch. But that's not something
that you can just get in any grocery
store. Maybe your health food store
will have it.
Otherwise, you may have to use the
storebought instant pudding this time,
and make your own pudding mix next time.

Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
6 Tbs Instant Clear-Jel (precooked cornstarch)
1/2 - 3/4 cup natural sugar
1/4 cup soymilk powder
1 tsp vanilla powder
Mix all ingredients in ziplock bag.
For Pudding:
Mix with 2 cups cool water, and whip with
beater until smooth.
Chill.
For thicker pudding, add additional Instant
Clear-Jel.
NOTE: Use only INSTANT Clear-Jel.
There is also a regular, non-instant
Clear-Jel, which will not make
an INSTANT pudding mix.
