When it comes to tooth abscesses, I would definately recommend taking the antibiotics, as you don't want the infection spreading into your jawbone. There are so many different antibiotics out there, I am sure there is something you will be able to take...just make sure that you take some acidophilus at the same time, to restore the balance in your gut.
