My family resides in two household with a 15 year old young woman who has decided to stick to a vegetarian diet. My ex and I support my daughter’s choice but struggle to incorporate her diet into the family’s meals. She is not vegan; she eats fish, seafood, dairy, and eggs. I was wondering if there is some place online that sells good vegetarian alternatives especially to meat entrees. While she is very good natured about it, and has tried brands like Morning Star and Bocca, each only has one or two items she enjoys. They are so expensive too. Meals have become family time now that they split their days between houses and I feel like I’m slighting one member of the family before we even sit down to eat. My son seems to be choosing a more vegetarian diet also and he eats 2x as much as his sister, and is pickier about the vegetables he enjoys. We have had a huge garden at my home and send lots of seasonal vegetables back and forth including mixed greens, making salads her main meal. Am I wrong to get hung up on “squaring out” her diet? Are there specific replacements I should be looking at incorporating (she does do a peanut butter sandwich for dinner sometimes too? I appreciate any resources or advice you can share.
