I did this once when I was on the same pill and it totally messed me up, so maybe I did it wrong. I just skipped the placebo pills (though I've never heard anything about taking them backwards!), which is what all my friends had done (yes, I probably should have asked my dr.). It did skip at that time, but then a week or so later I had intermittent bleeding (more than just spotting) for another week or two. And then I got my period full on when I was supposed to! Blech. I never did that again! So, in conclusion, talk to your dr., but even so, there might be spotting, breakthrough bleeding etc. I've been thinking of switching to one of those 4x a year pills...
