Subject:	poll: what are we all doing to provide for our financial security?

I just read an article that said more and more women of retirement age are having to work - not choosing to because they like it, having to in order to eat - well into their seventies and even eighties, because women are so lacking in retirement resources. We earn less generally, are more likely to take time out of the workforce to be caregivers, and many are left without the pensions they thought they'd have from their husbands, either because of death or divorce. I know lots of young women starting families who have not even given a thought to their long-term financial security. I am really just strting to work on my own future, and I'm 45! ouch! are others in that boat too?
