my krups is becoming a little uneven, now that you mention it. It's a Belgian type ... but, yeah, I'd rather just have a good, crispy thin waffle, rather than a thicker waffle that isn't crispy. Have company coming in a few weeks and vegan breakfast that won't garner turned-up noses is always a bit of a chore! I think I'll try your yeast-raised recipe ... hmm, or the buttermilk ones ... have to try them out myself, first, of course! :) Thanks!
