Subject:         raw or cooked vegan

Hi,

I am trying to decide which type of veggie eater I should be - raw or cooked.

My friend said that cooking destroys many vitamins & minerals and introduces toxins, carcinogens (especially when fried) that will in your later years of life cause disease and ill health. She also said to stay away from 'cooked' (roasted) nut butters & nuts and only consume the 'raw' nut butters & nuts also.

My friend is also a big fan of david wolfe & doug graham who empasizes mostly a fruitarian based diet/lifestyle without grains or beans or potatoes, as they say in their works that grains and beans and potatoes (all root veggies) are nonbeautifying foods and have detrimental effects on one's digestion and health.

All soooo very confusing and I just want to do the very best for my health and wellbeing in the present & future.

Please help in helping me make the right choice.
