If it smells, it is too old! Tofu should have a very neutral odor. It should be stored in water, refrigerated, or in plastic tubs or packages that are best-by dated.

If, for some reason, you have a very sensitive nose and even fresh tofu smells to you, try frying it, or marinating it or serving in a spicy sauce. It tastes more interesting that way, anywya!
