Dr Neal,
It is my understanding from reading your posts that you run a support group and have observed data on many people. I couldn't get this real world data on real people from anywhere else.
Would you be kind enough to post what happens to LDL, TC, TGL, HDL numbers on an average to get an idea as to how much of a improvement in a lipid profile one can expect from the dietary changes.
Besides traditional risk factors such as above, did you track any other risk factors such as Lipoprotein(a), LDL, HDL particle size, homocystein etc etc.
Do you know in Framingham study they tracked anything besides the the traditional lipid profile which consists of TC, LDL, HDL and TGL.
Is it enough to bring total cholesterol below 150 regardless of what other risk factors you may have? What happens if the TC is below 150 but there are other risk factors which might be accelerating the atherscelorsis?
