Marty, In my case, I had good results going Vegan Plus Statins (10 mg.) in just 45 days, (probably due I was so scared...). I went all the way VLF (Very Low Fat) and VEGAN. Here were the numbers in that short period: Total Cholesterol from 181 to 74 LDL from 95 to 23 HDL went down because Total Cholesterol went so much down: from 42 to 35 (Dr. Pinckney mentioned that happens, because Total C went down). With exercise I was able, (but only after 8 monts), to bring back higher HDL from 35 to 47!!!. My Doctor asked me to reduce statins by half to just 5 mg. Those bad cholesterols went just a little higher, but still much less than the recommended numbers for a reversal. I think it is also important to loose weight, as this reduces Blood Pressure, what I was able to reduce a little. I heard before that each 20 pounds reduces 1 point in BP. As I had weight reduced 20 pounds, my BP went down 1 point (From 13X9 to 12X7 and sometimes 11 X 7). I wish you success. Keep the Vegan and VLF and be pacient. PS: What for me took much longer time it was to take Triglycerideos down and that went down just recently.
