| Subject: | GABA Rice Discussion...Again |
|

Hi Dr.
You might recall that I brought to the lists attention the subject of GABA rice a number of months ago. (For those interested in this discussion please search the list).
I was given by some very thoughtful friends a Zojirushi Induction Heating Rice Cooker, which is the only unit on the market today in the US that has a GABA setting. Although I have my doubts as to whether the full GABA attributes are being relized (Unit holds the temp at 104 degress for 2 hours vs the 16 hours according to scientific literature needed for full GABA qualities) I must say that I have never had any better brown rice as produced by this machine. The rice is extremly flavorful and the kerrnals are somewhat germinated.
I have used another Zojirushi cooker for three years and thought this rice was superb. However after eating this rice for two months now, I find it exceptional!.
Curious if anyone else has this unit or is preparing GABA Rice in some way. Although this sounds like a commercial for Zojirushi it really is only an attempt to share with everyone my findings for continuing to make the VLF lifestyle so incredibly satisfying.
Best,
herman
