It's almost impossible to avoid all foods that have some fat, but the goal is to limit one's intake of fat to 10% of calories in any meal. That means some items could contain more than 10% fat, as long the total meal stays at 10% or under. Avoiding all foods with added oil is a good idea, but some acceptable prepared items may have a small amount of oil but still remain under 10% calories from fat
Whole grains are alway preferred to refined products, but sometimes, especially when eating out, white bread, rice or pasta may be the best choice available.
The 'worst error' to make is with fat. Too much fat is far more detrimental to heart health than the occasional refined grain or processed food.
