Thanks for your kind words.

As to my before numbers, never had them measured before I started. Experientialy, the weight that I was carrying around certainly was having a major effect on my body. I had my chol measured five years prior it it was over 250 and I wasn't nearly as heavy as I was before I started the lifestyle.

I don't exercise other than vigorous walking when I can. Not enough lately however. I try to do at least 2 miles a day which when living in NY City is not hard.

The way I have stayed on this diet so long and feel satisfied and have perfectly maintained my weight is that I live by Dr E adage "Moderation Kills". I am scrupulous in what I consume, prepare my food without fat of any kind, and keeping my fat intake at or below 10 percent by only and only eating copious amounts of beans, veggies, fruit, whole grains and 12 cups of water. I have never deviated in these 4.5 years and find complete satisfaction in this way of eating and have completely lost my cravings for high fat, dairy, meat and junk food. This is more remarkable as I formally ate meat every day for most of life, ate tremendous quantiles of soda, ice cream, candy, cookies well you get the picture.

I hope this helps and if you aren't following this lifestyle, I would strongly urge you to consider it if it is compatible with your current health.
