Overweight

QuestionI am 17 and im overwieght, I have tried to lose wieght for the past 2 years and nothing is working. I'm not lazy. I do exercise and I'm very active. I try to eat well but in my house it is very hard. I'm desperate, I have very little self-esteem and I hate it.   I want to be healthy and look good. I weigh about 260. If you have any info that can help it would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Do you think going vegetarian would at all help, i've never been a big meat person, and could easly do it.

AnswerYes a plant-based diet would do the trick. Avoid dairy products and meat. It's difficult to remain overweight on a plant-based diet unless you consume excessive vegetable oils. Take a look at page 130 in my book or look at my website for the Four Stages to an Ideal Diet. Don't try to rush things, you may only loose one pound per week. Anything more is usually dehydration.
